What did it consist of? Killing of two people?
a roman gladiator is an arrested or enslaved person forced to fight each another with swords. if one person was practiacally dead, he could plead mercy from the crowd, and they could vote whether he should be saved or left to die. of course, the final decision was made from the king/emperor sitting and watching the game (julius caesar, etc.)
