For a school project and really need the information, even if you do not have the answer to the question of general information about the ancient Roman Gladiators will be fine thanks

Different gladiators specialized in different weapons and tactics. This example illustrates these different styles and equipment. Among these, the Thracians Murmillo and retiarii Secutor were four, the most common. Andabatae: (1st cent. AC), dressed in chain mail like the cavalry of the East (cataphracta), wearing a helmet, without holes eyes. They instructed blindly at each other on horseback as a precursor of antiquity to medieval fair. Bestiary: (beast fighters) Initially armed with a spear or knife, these gladiators were condemned to fight against the beasts with a high probability of death. In his time, the bullfighters were highly educated, specialized in different types of exotic animals imported. Opportunity Dimachaeri: two swords, one in each hand. Equites: the fight on horseback with a spear and gladiators, clad in a full robe with Manica (ARM-Guard). In general, the gladiators fought Eques only their own kind. Essedari: Celtic style drivers, probably first introduced into Rome from Britain by Caesar. Hoplomachi (heavily armed) or Samnite: Fully shielded, and based on Greek hoplites. They wore a helmet with a stylized griffin on the crest, padded envelopes wool leg, and shin guards. They carried a spear in the Hoplite style with a small round shield. They were compared with Murmillo or Thracians. Laquerii: Laqueatores with string and rope. Murmillo (or murmillones) wore a helmet with a stylized fish on the crest (the mormylos or sea fish), and an Arm Guard (Manica). They carried a gladius and an oblong shield in the Gallic style. They were compared with Hoplomachi or Thracians. Provocative (Challenger): partner against the Samnites but their armament is unknown and may have varied across games. retiarii: Done a trident, a dagger and a net, a further extension of Manica shoulder and left chest. They often fought or secutor Murmillo. Occasionally a metal shoulder shield, or galerus was added to protect the neck and lower face. Saggitarii: Mounted Bowman, armed with reflex bows capable of propelling an arrow, a great distance. Samnites: see Hoplomachi. Secutor: If the armor as Murmillo, including oblong shield and a gladius. They were the usual opponents retiarii. Scissors (sculptors): Little is known about this gladiator ring. Thracians: The Thracian was equipped with a border around the whole head helmet, a shield small, round or square, and two thigh length greaves. His weapon was the sword curve of Thrace, or SICA. They often fought or hoplomachi Murmillo. Velites: fight on foot, each with a spear with attached Thong strap for throwing. Named after the early Republican army units of the same name. Venator: Specializing in the hunting of wild animals. Technically, not gladiators but still some games. A guy more deserving of mention is the Praegenarii that have been used as an opening act for the older crowd in the mood. We used a rudis (sword wood) and envelopes the entire body. As they fought, they were accompanied by music (cymbals, trumpets and organ water Water organ). Hope this helps;)
